Tekmar 260 question

Timco

Installing a tekmar 260, and bought the optional indoor sensor. It has a temp dial. Is that set for the min / max temp the programmable t-stat is set for? How does this setting affect the reset? Thanks,

Tim

    There are four

optional sensors shown at Tekmar, none of which appears to have a "dial.". Why did you get it, and which model did you get? Their word for 'stat, is RTU. Confusing? Not really. Their RTU's generally don't "switch"; they change resistance. On the surface, seems like an arbitrary distinction. The logic of their products however, is much finer control over components that mere "switching" allows.

According to their own website, the additional sensor apparently allows the O.D. reset to be more "refined."

Hope that helps. Perhaps we should both sign up for a current school? It's been ~7 years since my last one. For someone who can't recall what he had for breakfast an hour ago, it might be a good thing.

Wait. I'm retired! Or am I?(;-o)

    indoor sensor

The correct sensor is the Tekmar 076. It is a simple 10k Thermistor in a pretty box. Same basic device as used for the outdoor sensor and supply pipe sensor. Just a different package. There shouldn't be any "adjustments" on it.
