flooded boiler?

When I first went to turn on my heating system this fall there was no water at all in the sight gauge. I had the boiler serviced: they drained a lot of nasty looking water out of the boiler and got everything going again, but then 1 day later the heat would not go on. The sight gauge was completely full. I was told that I needed a new automatic water feeder, which they installed. The system still seems to work fine, but the glass is completely full again and there is a very little bit of water on the floor. Does anyone know what this means? Or what I need to do? Thanks!

It's either a leaking bypass valve
(around the feeder) or if the boiler has a tankless coil for hot faucet water, that could also be leaking.
