To much steam pressure

I have a Burnham steam boiler that was installed in 1991.The pressure guage never moved before and now it rises to 4 to 5 pounds in the morning when the heat first turns on. I have a service contract with the local gas company (Nstar)and when they came out they first replaced the pigtail, they said it was clogged. The next time they came out they replaced the pressuretrol (Honeywell PA404a -1099). It is set at 0.5 psi(cut in) and 1 for the cut out. The boiler never stops running until the thermostat stops calling for heat and the radiators are bleeding off alot of steam that they never did before. Any ideas of what I might try or could suggest to the service company when I call them again? Thanks

Still sounds like a pressuretrol problem. When the boiler is fired trip the pressure trol and see if it cuts out the burner. If it does then the pressure trol is not sensing boiler pressure. If so, then there is probably still a blockage between the pressure trol and the boiler, either the pigtail or the port its attached too. There is a little rocker arm in the pressure trol near the bottom. you can trip it by rocking it slightly with your finger or a screw driver. Try it with the boiler off and you'll here a little click when the switch inside opens. doesn't take alot of movement.
