hello professor
would you please recommend a good electronic leak detector. one that can sense the old refrigerants as well as the new ones. someone told me they were really happy with one named the TIF ZX-1.ever heard of that one. also do you know any good places on line to buy one?

What I presetnly Use
A number of supply houses would be able to hook you up with the TIF ZX-1. If it's the unit I'm thinking about, it works very well. I like to keep a number of different models on hand and I had posted this recently:
I like to bring a variety of leak detectors into my classes so my students can get a feel for the wide variwty of options they have when it comes to leak detection. One of my latest goodies is this model from Inficon. It works great.

Good luck.
