    Let's see those dogs!

Little one is Sparky. (I was a sparky) 10 weeks. He replaces our full size greyhound Stella who died a few weeks past. Larger one is Sadie. Both Italian greyhounds.

Here's my son with his dog.
  • Here's mine

a Labrador named Bailey . Real easy to train , but he's 102 lbs. of wackiness . He was the next to last one picked out of a litter of 7 . That can explain a few things .....

Here's my little girl. A 7 month old pit bull terrier. Every bad thing you've heard about this breed is NOT true. The 'killer' pit bulls you hear about where bred that way. Pick up any APBT book and it explains what a REAL pit bull should look like. males between 50 and 80 lbs females between 30 and 60 lbs. The 120lbs football heads are imbred in my opinion. I got my Macey as a rescue dog. She is definetly the most hyper dog I've ever had, and has been (still is) tough to train, but it's worth it.

    Italian Greyhounds

I have always liked Italian Greyhounds, and I always thought I would buy one. I was just reading info about the breed though, and am reading that they may not be the kind of breed I would want unfortunately.

    Very beautiful dog however!!!!

We lost all our dogs this year. Duke was 12, he had cancer, we lost him in Apr. Abbie was 17, we lost her in Aug.. Just plain old, old age.

VERY naughty dogs. They wait until you leave and do just what you said not to. They sneak. Can be very clingy, and neurotic. Little one is not scared of anything, but the larger one was affraid of the pup for a couple days. Both are purebred. Larger one was hit by a mini-van and lost her bottom teeth. Died in my arms, and I roughed her around and talked tough, and she held on. a week in intensive care and $1500 in vets, oxygen chambers and steroids, her sight and hearing came back. She is a different dog....reprogrammed. She then broke her leg while out to pee while my wife was at home and I was golfing. $900 for pin, cast. Now back to completely (ab)normal.

    Almost a Deadman Collar!

13½ year old standard poodle - still going strong but she's either going deaf or her acting has moved up a notch.

Saw your post about italian greyhounds. Maybe consider a whippet. The dogs are sweet, smart, loyal, great companions and not neurotic. Much stronger than italians and slightly larger but considerably smaller than a greyhound. Very few health problems
We have 4 children and 3 whippet. Loads of fun
