1930 or earlier Weil-McLain Coal wood boiler system

Well without seeing the piping valves and system it will be rather hard to diagnose what to do, you could ty pictures but a visit by a professional is in order so he can explain your system and make sure its safe.

Upon moving into an older home we found that there were two heating systems installed and apparently operational. With the price of oil we are attemting to utilize the coal burner. Radiators are located throughout the house with water being heated either by the oil furnace or the coal boiler. We have the coal boiler going fine now however there are many shut off valves and aparently the water is not being routed into the correct pipes. Also when the heat level rises significantly in the boiler a loud banging is heard throughout the house. We have yet to supply heat to more than one of the radiators. Obviously we are not operating the shut off system correctly and would like any advice on what we are doing wrong here. The information on the burner itself is
