Boy that would be expensive gas!! Gas is sold in CCF's (hundred cu. ft.) or therms, which are fairly equivalent. Right now we are paying $1.22 per therm, including all delivery charges and taxes. That works out to about 1.2 cents per cu. ft.0 -
how is this in our area oil is 2.15 gal
New GAS Rate
Customer Service Charge
Delivery Charge $9.62
First 30 Ccf $ 0.7274 per Ccf
All over 30 Ccf $ 0.3181 per Ccf
Commodity Charge $ 0.7219 per Ccf0 -
NG cost
Our Keyspan Nat gas is divided into supplier and delivery charges and other ?? and sold by the CCF
It does change based upon the volume purchased>> The only way to get " true cost" is to divide your bill by CCF used
Last month was $2.06 per CCF for 86 CCF>> prior month was $2.39 per for 42 CCF0 -
One galoon of Oil is the same BTU as 135CuFt Nat gas, 1.53 gal of Propane, 41.03KWhs Electricity those gas prices seem awfully high0 -
this is yankee gas in connecticut are the gas prices high here? compared to oil at 2.15 gal0 -
If I calculated right it would work out to 1.84 and 1.39 to an equivalent gallon, however you also have to factor into that price the delivery charge of 9.64 and that will vary upon volume of gas used.0 -
so it may be a little cheaper then oil? wow that's a first
thank you

Rooster they seem to jup back and forth, on the other hand I am locked in at 1.89 a gallon for the winter however if I had not locked in I would be paying more too.0 -
man i hope some day they find a cheaper alternative to oil and gas like a gravity fed motor or better solar in winter or something ;-)
thanks
Jason
