Help with large Korean hot-water boilers
I have a bit of a problem. I am a HVAC contractor in Central, Florida. There is a very large Orchid farm that has asked me to take over the service/repair/replacement of 10 large Korean greenhouse boilers. These things are huge propane boilers listed as 400,000 K/cal a piece, this is roughly 1.5 million BTU's! The biggest issue is that these boilers have almost no English words on them and nobody at the nursery really knows how to operate or maintain them. I am not very experienced with boilers because there are VERY FEW of them in Florida. I let the nursery owners know that I lack experience, but they would still like me to give it my best shot.
The boilers are made by the Sang Yang Boiler Co. the model#SYA-4000 middle capacity hot water boiler. They are piped into finned pipes that run underneath of the plants on racks.
Any advice on how to find manuals, potential problems or what type of replacement boilers to use as they fail would be greatly appreciated! Thanks0 -
pictures?
how far are you from Daytona? Are they flat bed atmospheric type?0 -
About 2hrs from Daytona!
I've attached a stock picture from the un-readable Korean web site. I'm about 2hrs from Daytona, unfortunately I did not take any pictures while I was there.0 -
Hey Bryan, Looks like you might just have a Weishaupt or Riello burner on that baby. I would try to find the burner manufacturer. Might give you some more info. If you can give a link to the web site I would be happy to ID the burner for you.0 -
