Steam Return

I never thought of using the kinetic ram for that!

And, if it blows apart, it needed replacing anyway!

(Gonna go git me a water ram from the plumbing side of our company...)

    Steam Returns

I am working on an old two pipe gravity return system with main line traps and radiator traps. One return is overhead, the other is buried under the floor. The system has worked wonderfully for years... Until now. The problem is plugged return, naturally the overhead was easy to clean and that part of the system is working again. The buried pipe cannot be cleaned and there is no way to return overhead keeping all the nessesary dimensions for gravity return. Is it possible to mix a pumped return with a gravity return?
    Thank you in advance!!!

    Why not?

make all the returns "Pumped" ! Seems to me that'd work!

    That's a Vapor system

it would be much easier to stay with gravity return. Is there another route the "wet" return could take? It doesn't have to be below the floor, as long as it's below the boiler's water level.

    Water Ram

If its not leaking, try to clean it with a Kenetic Water RAm. Great tool.
