one is a rubber hammer, the second is make a t of your own with the collar piece.and as a thought a band coupling as i call them(draw band) is, The thing, in any lash up.

i have a boiler that i need to go back and change the barometric because it was under construction at the time and the HRV pipes were flirting with my stove pipe :)

Vent Pipe to use for 80% AFUE Oil Boiler

My Baro is mounted on a T hooked to the outlet on top of my boiler. I dont know why it is there but I understand it should be closer to the chimney on the horizontal run. I am trying to do this and have bought a new Baro from the most excellent Patriot Supply in NY!

Unfortunately, Patriot does not list any vent pipe on thier web site that I can see. In Home Depot they sell 26 guage galvanized sheet metal. On the web I can find 24 guage but it seems to be all black stove pipe. Where does one get 22 guage corosion resistant 6" vent pipe as suggested in my boiler install manual?

Also, A while ago I had issues with my Baro Damper and folks here suggested I replace the RC control with the M control from Field. This indeed has proved effective so thanks.

Note To Field Controls: Let the paint dry before packaging and. perhaps make the thing square. And, that collar?? Whats up with that?

lol, yes, the collar and roll your own.. It fits so snug in the end of a Tee when the Tee is hot that I dont think it really needs any more support. When I put it in permanently I will add some tiny screws. I wonder how many of those collars end up in the dust bin.

    try 316 ss liner pipe

You can substitute 26 ga. and it is lifetime warranted.

Yes, I saw that stuff. I think Heat Fab has it in 24 guage. Dunno if I want to spend 300 bucks on a vent pipe for a 15 year old boiler. Perhaps if I am carefull, whenever I replace the boiler I can salvage the vent pipe.
