Having trouble lately with Taco Esp's...

They are staying in either the partially open or partially shut position. Know about not getting the bodies too hot when solding so that is not a concern. Have been setting the heat anticipators on thermostats to about .4 or .5

Is this right? What are some of the other reasons I am getting this condition? Most transformers are the 40 V.A. and am only running about 4 ESP's from them. The one I'm having the most trouble with is actually hooked into a Taco ZVC 406 zone control. I have about 7 or 8 in the last two months that are doing this to me. I really like the valves but unless I can find out whats going on, will swap to another valve. Any info will be mucho appreciated.
warm regards from chilly (-18) Fairbanks,

    Taco

We use the esp zone valves alot and they changed to a different series, so you might contact them about that.

    Call me

Sounds like there could be compatibility issue with the ESP valve. There were some issues with the first generation valve. Can you provide a catalog number for your valve? If it is an older valve we will still cover them under the manufactures warranty.
