Moving radiator to higher floor

pitch is essential, however you will be moving farther from the boiler and may turn to condensate before getting to the new location, if you are going straight up above where it was you may be ok, if not try to use 45's or swing joints, be sure to insulate all of your pipes.
Also be careful moving it, use your legs not your back, they are heavy and awkward, rent a heavy duty hand truck with straps. If it gets banged you may lose the seal between sections.

Moving radiator to new location
I'm doing extensive remodelling and removed an existing radiator in a 1 pipe steam system from a room which will now be heated by radiant in the floor. I'd like to re-pipe the old take-off to the floor above in order to better heat the room up there (I'm also renovating upstairs and could use it). Is it as simple as maintaining proper pitch in the new piping? I'm assuming that the load on the system will be similar except for new pipes to the next floor. Thanks. This is a great site.0
