0 smoke is a place to start.

then the application ,like is it an incinerator, boiler what type of fuel, temp requirements(stack) from say a hospital incinerator wouldnt be the same as a gas modulating burner. A sludge burner would have guidelines from like epa etc that would have to be achieved and maintained. different fuels and applications etc pretty much demand knowledge of the burner and the type size configuratuion of the combustion chamber , ...and a group of other minor technicalities.

Are there generally accepted numbers (as found on the Bacharach website training room) for stack temp, CO, O2 and CO2, draft, etc...or is it better to get this info from each maker, be it a water heater, boiler, or a furnace? Or is it a BTU thing.

    Appreciate it,

Here there is really only natural gas appliances...stoves, water heaters, boilers (some converted from coal.) Not much oil, or propane. That's all I will be servicing.
