Possible Job Opportunity
Man with a question
Member Posts: 69
We are one of the largest providers of Radiant Heat, Solar Thermal and other innovative comfort solutions in Southern California. The market apears to be very healthy and we enjoy an excellent reputation which I am intent on maintaining.
We mostly service a high-end market and work on some truly spectacular houses from Central California to Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice and the rest of the LA area.
We are also plumbing and HVAC contractors, though we tend to focus on specialty hydronics as a business model.
I, like many employers, have had a hard time finding employees with a good basic skill set and a commitment to excellence.
I am starting to think that perhaps it would be a good idea to look outside of the local talent pool to someone who has already served an apprenticeship elsewhere.
This a very nice place to live in many respects though the cost of living is high.
Any sharp young people out there who can afford to take a chance on a move and a life adventure? I don't want to be "ageist", but I understand that a family man would have a harder time taking a chance on a venture with so many unknowns.
I cannot offer guarantees, but can certainly assure unlimited opportunity for someone with a good attitude, the right combination of confidence and humility, a driver's license and acceptable command of the English language.
It would be nice if this individual had no unsolved drug and/or alchohol as well, though candicacy for sainthood is not a prerequisite.
Too much to ask?
Basic skills are a must, not necessary expert skills just yet, but the ability to handle an installation with limited supervision on my part would be very valuable to me.
Any interest out there?
