Any one looking for an experienced oil heat technician?

Tewksbury is about 25 miles north of Boston, around 10 or 12 miles south of Salem, New Hampshire. Route 93 goes right through town. Any specific companies in southern New Hampshire?

Thanks, Mike

Any one looking for an experienced oil heat technician?

I'm not sure if this post breaks any of the rules here, and if it does, then I apologize. Well, I never thought it could happen to me. I got laid off on Tuesday! Who lays off an oil burner tech in November?! Already applied for unemployment, but would much rather be working. Anyone looking for an experienced (4-1/2 years), extremely motivated oil heat technician? North of boston (I currently reside in Tewksbury). Where does one go to find jobs in this limited field? All of the job sites force you to choose a category, but the only thing I can choose is "HVAC Technician", which doesn't really apply, as I don't have my refrigeration license. I am planning to hit the pavement Monday morning, and would appreciate any help.(Leads, advice, or simply words of encouragement). Thanks

    Mike

    Thanks, Dan...

I'd rather not go into detail in a public forum like this. (I don't want to irk them by going into their financials). They are great people, and were great to work for, but they were forced to make big cuts. They have assured me that I would get a stunning reference for potential employers, and they have actually already given me a couple of leads. I feel that I was treated very well on the way out, and hold no grudge.

    Good luck

Mike I'm not sure where Tewksbury is in reference to the NH border, but you might want to try in the seacost region or southern NH. I know a lot of the larger oil companies are alway's looking for good people. Good luck on the hunt, and give us an idea of how far you want to travel...

roots are here in New England. I don't mind driving, but relocating is just not a possibility. (Don't tell my wife I said this. She would love to relocate! She happened to be reading over my shoulder when someone mentioned Alaska and she was ready to up and sell the house!) Mortgage in nice town, decent schools, family within a half-hour, kids getting older... I just couldn't see uprooting.

    Central NH

    Mike,
Do you have any gas experience as well, what about installs etc. We are an HVAC company just north of Concord, NH. We do work work from the Mass. border to FRanconia Notch and beyond and could really use another quality service tech. We do install and service a lot more gas than oil (probably 3or 4 to 1 or more). Give me a call if you are interested in talking. 603-286-2290

    Thank You...

I apologize for not keeping everyone up-to-date, but I wanted to make sure that everything was finalized before I said anything. I would just like to thank everyone for their advice and support. I start with my new company on Monday! Brand new van, more money, and... DIGITAL TEST EQUIPMENT!!!! I would especially like to thank George, Alan and Dan for letting me use their sites to locate an employer focused on doing things the right way. Thank You All. Mike
