Leaving water in boiler after heat has been shut off

Member Posts: 2
I have my house up for sale and will be moving the first of the year. If I don't sell by the time I move, can I shut my gas, electric and water off without protecting the water in the boiler? Can I winterize the boiler some way?
Thanks

Freeze up
If the house is likely to get below 32 the the boiler (steam or hot water)is only one of the issues. Even the water in the commode traps can freeze and crack. Proceed with caution and look at the big picture. Other then that not enough info.0
