I went back yesterday to pull the guts from the TV and cust says it was soo hot they opened windows. (I had the t-stat cranked to try & kick start it. I nursed the sec ret temps up to 105 or so and walked. The system took over from there and has heated since. Tomorrow a new t-stat and Tekmar 260 w/ indoor sensor as well...should be the caddy of heating systems. Cust says it looks like it came from the space shuttle...he is amazed and happy...Thanks soo much to all of you for the kind words, help and suggestions! It made all the difference and I am blessed to have all of you in my corner! Thanks for supporting good over evil and helping fight crime!

    Glad to hear

the good news. This reminds me of a job I did 2 or 3 years ago. I installed a cast iron boiler with a single pipe primary secondary and 2 secondary loops. The first loop was the pre-existing cast iron radiators, the second was a variable speed injection loop running a new radiant floor for an addition. I had the radiant floor up and running real nice and then turned on the cast iron loop. The thermal mass of the cast iron rads sucked the heat right out of the system right before my eyes. The Tekmar control saw the low boiler temp and shut down the radiant floor. I had sized the boiler pretty close to the heat loss so it had no extra capacity to overcome that heat drain for quite a while. Seemed to take forever but it finally gained enough to start heating properly. I was concerned that I had undersized the boiler but it's been in for 2 Winters without a complaint so it must be OK.
