Boiler with flame rollout

I condemmed this boiler a few weeks ago. I went on a service call for flame roll out problems. The boiler had been serviced numerous times in recent years and the HO had never been advised there was a problem with combustion. The boiler was located in a mud room with a defective dryer vent running nearby.

We replaced it with a Triangle Prestige Solo 110

    If you look at the location of the pilot, there was a problem with lack of maintenance. Pilot starts burning like crap, never cleaned and the result is what you see on the bottom.

    It's scary to think how many boilers are out there like this one.

    The new home owners are really happy with their new solo 110.
