yesterday I found a Buderus G-115 w/ a Carlin Burner, no problem there just that it was fired with a .65 60 A even the sticker that was from Carlin stated that nozzel there OEM Spec guide stated differant .65 60 ES I contacted Buderus and was told to put in a .65 60 W wow what a differance that made, I just wanted to see what others have found if that was just a mfg goof on the sticker!! (Pump PSI is at 150)

    Tim,

I find that it depends on the chimney and draft. I've had some Carlin/Buderus combos that were unbelievably quiet with the stock settings, but others that needed to be tweaked. The W option is a good one in this case. The ES or B option most times comes with some associated noise, but sometimes is just the ticket.

The true way to figure is to TEST. Which gives the best numbers with the least noise...there's your winner. Chris

    Buderus/Carlin

I have had great luck with Buderus in general, but I have used nothing but Riello burners, I have found that they seem to be more stable and quieter than the others. I have had two occasions where I have changed nozzle types and have had better conditions. If you look over the past few years of specs you will see Buderus has occasionally changed some of the nozzle sizes and types, along with their pump pressure ratings.

    Burner Specs

Over the years the burner manufactures have re-tested their burners on our boilers. The testing was done as a result of issues seen in the field. We offer suggests of different nozzles when the original nozzle doesn't seem to work. This is not an "Oops" its just adapting the burner for proper combustion.

    spec changes

I wasn't saying anything negative about the changes, I am very happy with the product and the way it performs. Very seldom do I have nozzle issues.
