Heating and hot water system replacement

We are looking to replace our 212,000 BTU boiler for a 3000 SF split level. We are looking to replace it and separate out the hot water heater. Does a solar hot water heater work in upstate new york? Any ideas of which one. Can it be combined with a new Weill McLean boiler and a Beckett Burner?

Hi Laura
The answer to your question(s) is.....that depends.
Solar does work in Upstate NY, but it does have limitations. Yes, it can be supplemented by another heat source when the sun just doesn't shine.
Where in NY are you located?
