Pre-heat water for radiant

Dug
Member Posts: 1
I am in the planning stages of building a home next spring with radiant floor heat using a domestic LP hot water tank as the primary heat source. I am also planning a high efficiency wood burning fireplace and would like to pre-heat the water before it goes to the water heater. Where can I find specific directions on how to accomplish this? Type of tubing, relief valves??? etc...

Find a radiant
designer with experience. You will want to start with a load calc. Connecting a wood boiler, storage tank, mixing devices for the radiant and related piping and wiring can be complicated.
Also T I consider something more efficient than a basic water heater unless the load is very small.
