Try and find a pump curve for that old circ and match it up. You probably can use a wet rotor circ as well. Neat old system. Looks great. They don't make 'em like that anymore......thankfully.

    I have a customer who has a 1950s hot water sys duel fuel coal / nat gas . the B& G circulator is a little noisy customer oiled last year 3 and 1 oil . circulator is a B&G 1/6 hp 1725 rpm MRF38 EW 115 – 6 – 8 mortan grove Ill flange to flange 8 3/4 pipe 2.5 1/6 hp . new circulator is pricy is it possible to use a regular 100 series smaller inlet ? and still move enough heat ? what info is needed thanks for any help . d lux

    You could put in a new oil wick, motor mounts and coupler to quiet it down. Otherwise you could get the bearing assy. rebuilt. Hope this helps.

    on the #'s you gave do not cross at B&G. See if you can get the #'s off the bearing Assy.

    Go to Bell&gossett.com and look under residential pumps. You probably have the PR or HV series, but it's hard to tell w/o the numbers needed. Also, you line size looks like 2" not 2.5", but then again I cant tell by a pic.
