my mystery two-pipe dry return no trap job report

Just a heads up on my my mystery two-pipe dry return no trap job i was asking about a month ago or so; it worked out fine. Against advice from two people I took out the old gooped up 2" swing check on the return of the boiler. It's rather perplexing; the boiler climbing at a nice pace right up to 2 psi and not a peep from the piping system whatsoever. I'm still baffled but was rewarded nicely for my 'dice rolling'. We also piped in a new 275 and added in a super stor 60 gallon, added an auto feeder.
