I would lose the skull from the logo and send out replacement stickers for free or at cost.

    Hey Dan...An Idea for ya

Hey Dan, Yesterday, I was in a "Big box store" and ran into a young couple looking at clock T'stats. Seeing the confusion on their faces, I offered to help. Anyway, it turns out, they just bought their first home, and it has an old steam system.
They were talking about converting to hot water.(Not sure why)Thats when I directed them here. (to the wall) and your books.

It was then that I had this Idea.....How about heatinghelp.com "the wall" business cards? Then "wallies" can give them to people That need more info about their systems?
I know I use this site for assignments for my BOCES class.
All I would have to do is hand them a card. tell them the info I want them to find, and it's done!
Also, sometimes customers are skeptical about certian things they hear. Giving them access to a site that can give them different opinions from all over the country can only be good. Nothing better than a correctly educated customer.

    what ya think?

Dan -- your books should be sold in the big boxes. Probably not easy to negotiate with them, but your books are good enough you might have a chance.

I was thinking a regular card with the site address and maybe a clever little saying...maybe something to do with "find a pro"? Hmmmm? I have to think on it a little more. but what do ya think of the concept?

I like the idea, and we're willing to do it,

but let's see what the others have to say. So far, no one seems to be getting it. At least they're not saying anything. We'll see. Thanks.

    Business Card Layout

Your trademark skull / wrench X hammer , with the web address in very small letters in one lower corner. That thing worries the hell out of some people , and makes others curious ( your stickers on our hardhats get alot of attention , lol ).

Was thinking of the business card at the end of this video...lol.

    I would buy some!

I'm just a homeowner, who comes across quite a few people with hot water systems. I'm always writing down the web address for them they have questions, or want to learn. Good for your business if you ask me.

I think you have a good idead about the books.

Books that deal with heating systems don't seem to be readily available, at least in my neck of the woods. Nothing in the local libraries or bookstores. The large city 50 miles from me has a library with one heating book, I think it was volume 2 of a four volume AUDEL series of heating books. Nothing on the shelves in bookstores there. Nothing available for chimney's either as I have had a tough time gathering info on both subjects. Which leaves it up to internet shopping which hasn't reached it's peak in popularity yet. Cookbooks are everywhere. Attention Walmart shoppers; "We got steam heat" near the magazine rack. Advertise the website in the book, tell them about the find a professional feature, the library, and the virtual tradeshow.

Exactly! what I was thinking. It's like giving your customers a second opinion about their system at the click of a button

We can provide cards for free for the asking.

Should it simply read "Second Opinion" with the HeatingHelp.com URL?

    How about...

    "Got Heating Problems?"

    "Need a Second Opinion?"

    Then the URL

There was an error rendering this rich post.
