Yes, thank you John, just what I needed to know. Now you got me started on this stuff again!!: Samuel L. Bronkowitz Presents:

Looking for the Uponor link
to the Multicor technical manual...or a nice photo of a properly crimped fitting. It is the grey O-ring at the bottom of the ferrule cup I am wondering about. Thanks guys!

here you go
you need to push to "cup" over the grey o-ring til it snaps in, then insert tubing
to "witness hole" then crimp.

Thanks Singh, I can't seem to get that file to open on my PC. I was pushing the O ring down the barb AFTER the cup was in place.....I'll give this other method a go. I also want to be sure of the placement of the crimping jaws. Should the side of the jaws butt up against the flange of the fitting? These are the 3/4" sweat adapters. Thanks again for the help!
Nick
Edit: Here is a photo of the inconsistent crimp position....0 -
I added a photo of the fittings in question. No leaks on either, so far anyway, would be nice to know which is better.0 -
both look okay...
You're better off, in terms of consistency, to have the press tool off the shoulder of the fitting just a hair so you have three press marks on the band, like the picture on the right in your post. Hope this helps...
