EDR and pickup factor
Jay, if it`s an older home, and especially if your using uninsulated mains for heating the basement space, then I would use 1.5 as the factor.

EDR and PICKUP FACTOR
Hi guys I'm trying to nail down a EDR load total. Two story house has 210 sq radiation. Two mains in basement are both 2" totaling 63ft. They are uninsulated and used to heat finished basement. The pipes in the walls supplying 8 rads are all insulated. Question is do I use a 1.33 or 1.50 pickup factor? Thanks0 -
My gut tells me
that for two stories, that is a small house! Or it is in an area that does not get too cold...or it is a row house.
210 SF EDR is 50.4 MBH.
If original to the house (older, uninsulated) that might cover a 1,000 SF house. Small footprint at two stories -is it a row house or detached?
I would double-check your EDR measurements especially if it is a detached house.
