Keep in mind that with the pump sequencer, if my memory serves, you must have a flow switch.
They work well, are easy to set up and not too expensive.

wiring for automatic pump 1 to pump 2 should pump 1 fail
We were installing a dual heating pump and our customer asked for automtic switching to the second pump should the first pump fail. They also wanted a Pump 1 or pump 2 switch so they could alternate the lead and lag pump anytime they wanted to. We wired up what our control Guru thought would work but have found a back feed everytime we switch to pump 2 as lead pump and we initiate a failure through a loss of flow.
I'm getting a headach. Does anyone have a diagram.

Rob look into the tekmar pump sequencer, it may be just what you're looking for. http://www.tekmarcontrols.com/literature/acrobat/d132.pdf
