... HVAC-Calc is liked by a lot of people and offers a trial version. It's mainly geared at the Air-side of the business, though I liked its speed and ease of use.
...the slant/fin <a href="http://www.slantfin.com/he/">heat explorer</a> is free and helps you with boiler / emitter selection too, IIRC.
... Siegenthalers Hydronic Design Studio incorporates a rudimentary heat loss calculator besides its many other features.
... Elitesoft has a comprehensive package that you can buy in increments, which is probably only dwarfed by the Wrightsoft suite of tools.

Heat Loss Software
What software are you all useing to do heat loss? And how long does it take? In Dans book Pumping Away he talks about a program called Calc-Plus (by Ed Horgan) but the number does not work.
