recommend a wall hung boiler?

Condensate pumps are made to deal with the acidic fluids pumped through them. They also have safety for them that will cut power if fluid rises too much.

    standard flue wall hung boiler?

Anybody got a suggestion for a decent quality conventionally vented wall hung boiler. Have to replace an old HiTech wall hung. No place for condensate to go. No way for through-wall vent to be used. Exhaust has to go up about 15 feet + an elbow or two. Baxi doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

    The W/M

model AHE might be what you're after. I think others also make one that does not condense.

I'd get creative however. There HAS to be a way to deal with the condensate. It could even be vented up the chimney if there's room for the liner, the min-condensate pump could pump outside the vent but inside the flue-way?

    thanks, ken

My concern with condensate pumps is that I expect them to fail someday and to announce their failure with wetting the carpet in the hallway outside the cubby this boiler has to go in. Do you have a recommendation as to as very reliable, acidic tolerant pump?

    Thanks again

    How about two?

Given how inexpensive these pumps are, you could mount two, one slightly higher in the bucket than the other.

Should the normal one fail, the second one comes on. Then use a relay or whatever you want to make a noise, alert your alarm system, etc.

Another approach is a small float switch in the bucket that receives the condensate that is wired into the LWCO circuit. Kills the boiler whenever the pump fails.

I'd prefer the two pump approach, however.
