Two temp system

SWT to the three way valve is modulating, I would suggest a manual three way valve to the slab. Set the mixing ratio to design conditions for your area "on a design day", unless you're confident of guessing, and forget it. The modulating SWT will result in a proportional reset curve for the garage slab.

    Two temp system

I am piping a knight boiler to run baseboards. I guess my first question is does anyone run baseboards on an outdoor reset? I have been wanting to try it, it is a buddies place so customer satisfaction should be easy. haha

We also tubed his garage slab so I was wondering would a Taco 5000 mixing valve be the right choice? With supply piping that may fluctuate in temp as much as 20 -25 degrees, Can that valve handle it? I am thinking the return piping from the slab would also tee to the cold part of the mixing vavle?

    Any help is appreciated.

Am I correct in teeing the return water into the cold inlet of the mixing valve?

    ODR on baseboard

Plumdog i have used a bunch of munchkins on baseboard system using a reset nd have had no complaints about lack of heat but used a tighter curve 180 on design day and lowest temp at about 150 but that was on exisisting base board system ,i have done a few jobs using high output baseboard sized for lower temps and of course fiqure in temp drop along the circuit and they worked excellent 160 on design day and most of the time they floated at about 130 to 140 wish i would have done them as constance circ with one stat but you live and learn all of these jobs showed excellent fuel avings compared to the older boilers they replaced and of couse the older boilers where over sized a bit .Peace and good luck clammy

you may want to start a thread of your own, but first make sure that one of the zone valves is not in the manuel open position.
