Try to visualize that when the pump at the boiler comes on that you will be circulating water in a circle, boiler to circ, out fist tee into the second closely space tee back to the boiler, now when a zone circ comes on it will steal enough water from the loop to do its job, and the remaining water will still take the path back through the boiler along with the retuning water from the zone, the water will go backwards through those tees but that is called primary secondary piping, and TT has it as it should be in their drawing.

I’m working with a heating contractor that has never installed one of these before so he did the right thing and called Triangletube for clarification on the drawings in the book.

After getting information from them the manifold was fabricated and installed (attached picture)- at the end of the day I asked how the rest of the piping was going to go and he said that there was going to be a nipple, a copper T , a nipple, a copper T and then a last nipple to connect the circulators to the return line…..The T’s they specified are regular T’s, not Venturi T’s.

Now, I’m not a Master Pipe fitter, but does this seem correct? To have a direct path back to the return line? I would think we want to come out with an elbow and head to the load and them return back to the lower header…

I am going to e-mail TT in the morning to make sure there was not a mis understanding on the phone between them and the contractor, but I just wanted to know someone else’s thoughts?
Any one else installed one of these? Any comment on performance? Quality? Etc..

Oh, one last thing, the attached link is the way it is being piped, but I connot see why TT wants T’s in the system.

    Thanks in advance

    I like them.

the stainless tank in tank is a decent design...the loads on your boiler all sound like high heat loads,..and it looks like you are zoning by circ... so, the pumps dont call for heat there is no demand the water zips back to the boiler its up to temp done deal.

on a call some zone stars pushes the water through the zone its satisfied pump shuts off water shoots back to the boiler , boilers up to temp ..done deal...

That looks like a big heat load, plus you're suppling DHW? You using the F40 or F45 model? Love to see some pictures and know how it turned out.
