If so you have a vent whistle.

If you do not have a vent alarm, install one.

    VENT QUESTION

    Hello all--and thanks for the fast answers about my tank leg welds.. I have one other question--I have on my tank outside--a fill a gauage and a vent.. I dont have a fill alarm--Also i notice when i knock on the side of the tank when its being filled--its like a solid rock-is that normal? The guy filling the tank said its venting just fine...Thanks again for all your help... MARK...

    Sounds OK to me, but no whistle on the tank? Trusting a gauge to fill a tank is inviting disaster.....not to mention not up to code.
