New Dunkirk Steamer

We nursed this leaking Kewanee steel tube boiler for a couple of years. When it spouted in the firebox and doused the pilot we decided it was time. Out with the old and in with the new. Still have to add high limit and secondary LWCO. Spent the last two years balancing the building with radiator and main vents and adding operating controls. Sorry the pics are so big, byte-wise, don't know how to make 'em smaller.

install looks great
Nice work, I really liked the way you used the big reducing washout tee to the equalizer, a good way to deal with a tight space. I guess I would suggest a easy to connect to floor drain outlet for the lwco, I think they get used more that way. I didn't notice the skim tapping, how long did it take you to skim it? Nice job and keep up the posts.0 -
Skim tee
Dale, The last pic shows the 4" skim tee on the left side of the boiler. We skimmed and flushed for a couple hours at day two. It's been a couple weeks in operation so we'll do it again soon.0
