Temporarily removing radiators (hot water 2 pipe)

Couldn't really find this in the search, and I think I have it figured out, but would like a double check before I start cutting pipes. I would like to move some radiators in the basment to address some cracks in the walls behind them. I have a hot water system. My plan is as follows -can someone please let me know if i'm doing this wrong.
1. turn off boiler electrics
2. shut off boiler gas valve
3. shut of water valve into boiler
4. connect hose and drain water from boiler
5. cut the two copper pipes - one on each side of the rad
6. sweat in a pipe in between the infeed and outfeed to the rad. Think this is better than just capping the pipes, but I'm not sure here.
7. refill and turn boiler back on. Is there something I need to do to refill the boiler besides opening up the water valve?

Do i have this about right? Thanks,
