I've noticed that alot of the steam guys are using copper on the return lines(wet lines).
See drop header pixs.
I'm assuming that you should use Black for the steam portion(Header and supplies) and returns or copper for just the wet lines.
Is it both the heating guys or just plumbers doing it?
Is it acceptable, I thought steam should be done in black?
thanks

in the wet return it a preference thing, steam carrying pipes need to be black but wet returns can be either, some prefer all black and some like using the copper on the returns, there is not as smuch movement in the returns , twisting and turning that will do damage to the boiler.0
