    bad T'stat...

    Here's the deal...

T'stat constantly reads 85, its digital... but when we take it outside or put it in the freezer it reads the current temp... brand new t'stat....

customer says he has to raise the temp to 90, and then shut it off manually when he feels its hot enough because it wont shut off on its own...

on the wall behind, where the t'stat is located, there's the fridge... so i'm wondering if thats a heat source affecting the thermostat...

I make little "shadow box" frames and put 1 inch rigid insulation inside, and mount the stat to the insul board. Works on outside walls when no other is available.
