    Nice

If Dan had not said so,

You need to have a FAP ad.

    Where are you?
Have you had any problems with the NX?
Why the fast fill valve on it's side?
Nice job on the insulation, board, and wiring race way also.
Do you do all of it yourself?

    Beautiful...

Between the piping, the insulation, and the way that you kept all the wiring at bay with those trays... that's a lot of attention to detail! Great job!

Thank you for your input. Here are a few more images of the job. I am currently working on another project with the goal of using as few chinese materials as possible. (Good luck to me!)

    black pipe insulation

Very nice install!!! I love the black finger duct for the wiring, what brand? Or is it painted...

    Stock options and bones eh?

Might be a case for CSI Miami...whatever happened to the gorgeous Greek actress on that show? I saw Sophia Milos up close once in NYC at a Hellenic student scholarship benefit dinner a couple years ago, and lets just say I was barely able to keep my knees from buckling when she sauntered by..... uh ok back on topic!

I have always used the white kraft faced fiberglass pipe insulation for boiler piping. The black flexible cellular insulation would be a lot easier as an economical option, my question is how does it hold up over the years? Maybe it is a good idea for hot mechanical rooms in cost competitive new construction jobs.

    insulation

The wiring duct is made by Panduit and it comes in light and dark grey, orange, black or clear lexan. I have found the most useful sizes (at least for residential applications) are 1"W X 2"H and 2"W X 2"H.
To tell you the truth I have never seen a single episode of CSI Miami. Do you have her picture?
In residential jobs I find it difficult to work with the white fiberglass insulation because of the many close radius turns and bends. Although I use it for solar lines because of the high temp capability. The black insulation its much easier to work with. We have found that over the years it has a tendency to shrink in lengh so in order to avoid this, I cut it a little bit longer to compensate. I also use many tiewraps to keep it from separating at the ends and I also glue the joints.

    cool

I have used Panduit a lot, but never bothered to ask if it came in colors. I guess light gray is standard in this area.

Sophia Milos, if I do have a picture I better get rid of it or I'll be in trouble!!

I think she was also in a few sitcoms. I bet if you google her name you will find something.

I have been using the black flexible insulation on refrigerant lines since I can remember and it always seems to dry out after say ten years. I guess there are different grades/chemical formulations to handle hi heat over time and not dry out. I will look into it!
