Replace all radiator vents?
I've got a third floor radiator with a old, wheezing vent. As you might imagine, this rad doesn't heat up quickly, or much at all for that matter. I'm planning on replacing this vent, but wondered if I shouldn't just do all of the vents while I'm at it. Is this a reasonable measure, or should I not try to fix what ain't broke?
My mains are well vented (thanks Steamhead!), and for the most part the system seems pretty well balanced. Am I asking for trouble (unbalancing the system?)or what? I'd use Gorton vents, according to their sizing guidelines.
Thoughts?
Thanks,

Thanks, guys....
Pat, as much as I like Gortons, this would be a good place to use an adjustable vent, which Gorton doesn't make. Start by setting the vent halfway open: setting # 3 on a Hoffman #1A, 4 on a Vent-Rite #1, 5 on a Dole #1A. Then readjust as needed to balance that room with the rest of the zone.
If the rest of the rads are heating OK, I'd leave them alone for now.
Forget about the Taiwanese adjustable vents from Home Depot. Get a good one as listed above.
