Let me know if I can ask this....

What is a reasonable labor estimate for a mod/con(ultra) vs. a chimney vented w-m.

Both driving same load. In this case dhw and 2 zones hydro-air.

10 hours additonal seem correct? I guess it is mostly for primary/secondary and venting.

    No difference...

if it was me piping, I would be doing 2 hydro's and an indirect P/S anyway.....
Just flat out the best way to pipe a boiler period.

    hours

I dont know how many hours is correct for every company, but yes it should definitly take more time to install a mod/con vs. a atmospheric boiler.

    But in a radiant install

I've found mod cons go in quicker due to the lack of piping for mix down temperature and boiler protection devices.

I think once you get the hang of them and stock to non typical parts, like condensate piping, etc. the install time is fairly close.

Sure is nice to get away from sheetmetal and B vent piping. Seems I always end up with a cut ot two :)
