Internal flow check
I am looking at a Grundfos 15-58 3 speed circulator and the internal flow check is removable with pliers according to the instruction sheet. If I leave it in the circulator, I don't see anything to stop it from going out into the system if it came loose or broke apart. Should I be worried about the IFC coming out of the circulator?0 -

Ross.........
I was a little leery when I first saw them too. I removed the ones I had, to be safe, but I`m not really sure either if these are a prob. I still avoid them when ordering-in pumps. BTW hows your re-pipe project coming?0 -
no worries...
never had a problem yet....kpc

Thanks Kev..................
next time I`ll give them a try, it is a great feature on some applications.0 -
Grundfos internal check valves
are friction fitted int he outlet of the pump and have been successfully applied in the field for over 5 years.
The location in the outlet of the pump allows for easy removal, if desired, but the low pressure drop design of the product makes it optional - pump performance with and without the valves are nearly identical.

Repipe project
Is coming along slowly. The closest hardware store is 12 miles. They are closed on Sunday. For anything they don't have, I have a 40 mile drive one way. I am just a little Isolated here. I ran out of materials and I am not finished yet. 37* outside, 54* inside. With my luck, it won't work any better when I am finished. Thanks Dave.0 -
Don`t get............
too down on yourself, we all get-into the "running-for- materials" crap. Seems we think we have everything in the truck, but there is always that "one thing" we don`t. That`s why we are always at the receiving-end of jokes LOL. Between your skills and here, I`m sure you`ll make-out just fine!
