Sitting here, shaking my head

I bet if I asked any of you which stretch of road has the most accidents in your neck of the woods, you would all have at least two answers in a second.

Think about that. You just know. Well so do most of the motorists that drive those roads yet EVERY DAY there are accidents at those places. You would think that the folks would learn after either witnessing the accidents, being stuck in the ensuing traffic jam or being one of the unlucky involved. Right? But they don't!

So here is a story about 31 people sent to local ER's with CO poisoning. Gas powered saws being used in the building were identified as the source of the CO.

I get so many stories like this that it made me think of all those accidents I hear about or see in nearly the same spots every day. Even when the danger is tangible, people ignore it or forget it.

Don't you just hate having managers look at you like you are the idiot when you tell them they should not be running propane forklifts inside? Cust today said he smelled 'combustion byproducts' late in the day. I went by and found no 'byproducts', but my comb gas detector went crazy....huge gas leak. Disabled the boiler, and said I would be back in the morning. He just called and asked how to turn the boiler on...wife complaining. I said no, and he was a bit miffed, but he will be alive tomorrow to pay me.....

Hey Mark, that's as bad (or funny) as the people who were enjoying their fish fry inside the enclosed storage buildings using propane-fired grills. Fifteen of them went to the emergency room. Yee haw, pass the tartar sauce.
