new boiler

There seems to be a glitch in the software as sometimes I'll write a post and after posting it I will realize that it has someone elses name and email address on the post. When you go back to edit it you are unable to as its not your address. I feel for you but relize that it may not be on porpose. It used to happen a lot before Dan upgraded the system and it happened to me once since just this past last week.

    Pipework

Nice lookin pipe work. I especially like those black headers with welded tees.

The camera angle makes it look like the flue pipe is recessed in that bright white back wall.

    Nice...

... I too like the welded header and the way you moved the circs away from the top of the boiler. Should make servicing them a lot easier, particularly given that they're on a Webstone flange.

From this angle, I cannot tell, but I presume that you left enough room in the back to access the rear cleanouts on the MPO? Nice looking job, the homeowners ought to be happy!

There is a lot of room in the back. There are plenty to do the clean up. Same thing with the smoke pipe. In that picture it seem to be close to the wall but it is not. we have plenty of room to go back there.

Bruce I don't know what happened but those are my posts.Somehow the system put your name up. It is supposed to be wink.

  • Nice looking job.

My only constructive criticism would be that you could have brought the oil line down on the other side of the boiler and supported it against the EMT tubing.

Also controls with all the greenfield are tough to make look good but some 1/2 " emt clips and wire ties can make a bundle look neat.

Where did you put the flo check valves?

    FloChecks

I'd bet he used B&G flange sets with built in check valves, hard to tell from the photo.

    iso flanges

    No, they are webStone.

I wondered the same thing and I wasnt sure if the green tacos had them. I dont thing the black taco has flo check.

BTW, Wink, the piping looks like it came right out of the book Pumping Away.
