steam question
Steamhead (in transit)

filled with water. It may be hidden in a wall or ceiling. Do whatever you must to unearth it.
Another possibility is that the rad shutoff valve has broken, and part of the valve is blocking the steam flow.
What is the EDR of the rad in question? If the horizontal runout is 25 feet and only 1 inch, it might be too small. Those long runouts require either larger pipe sizes or riser drips to the wet return to work well.

I ALSO REPLACED ALL RADIATOR VENTS WITH VENT RITE #1 VENTS.MY PROBLEM IS THIS THE KIT RADIATOR WAS A ADD ON YEARS BACK AND I CANT GET STEAM TO IT EVEN AFTER TAKING THE VENT OFF..BACK TO THE BASEMENT I GO AND LOOK AT THE PIPING THIS RADIATORS TAKE OFF COMES OFF THE VERTICAL RISING OUT OF THE HEADER,IS THIS WRONG AND WHAT SHOUD I DO TO CORRECT IT.....THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL HELP J A0 -
Check the pitch of the piping
my guess is there's a low point in the piping between the main and the rad, where water can collect and block the steam.
If this isn't the problem, check the pipe size against that of the other runouts. It might be too small.
