botched radiant heat job

I see many of these in my consulting business. Yes you may be able to use telestats, but you need to know the heat loss and temps required. If that info is not available from the owner, the installer or the supplier, you should "reverse engineer the job" to find out what you need for temps. You may not be able to "see" the tubing in some cases, so you will have to SWAG (scientifically wild **** guesstimate) what may be in place. Whatever you do, make a written agreement with a disclaimer that you are not responsible for the work of others or the consequences of a bad install. If you don't know how to do this, either get your lawyer to do it or walk away from the job. You will own it if you touch it.
