    Laars

Very sensitive to proper flow rates & must be set up properly - gas input/type etc. Needs a pro.

Mine had many piping problems, lasted 20 years. Otherwise reliable. Ended up with hole in copper fin tube.

I have installed a lot of them; they are a pretty good value (about as cheap as anything out there) and can be pretty economical to operate when applied properly. They can, however, get corrosion in the fins of the heat exchanger which must cleaned out to keep them working properly. Proper set-up and maintenance is important.
