QVM90 QuietSide....

By H stamp I assume that you mean heating approval. Yep, they are using the Quietside for space heating as well as DWH. Both are controled seperately...sorta. The DHW has a flow switch that has a habit of sticking closed which locks the unit in the DHW mode. The onboard circ pump for space heating is pretty wimpy so it works best with primary/secondary setup. I keep having visions of the old Paloma units that burned through the backside into the wall it was mounted on.

    QuietSide...

Has anyone installed or worked on the QuietSide QVM90 or 150 Wall Hung Boilers...???

Where are they as far as pricing goes...What are the pros and cons...I do not know anything about them except what I have downloaded from the web...

    Thanks

I've worked on a number of them...I'm a serviceman so my experience is skewed in that I get called when things don't work! It is an inexpensive boiler, and caters to owner/installers. Almost all of the problems I've encountered have been installation shortcuts or inexperience. Only a couple of component failures. How long lasting the unit will be is yet to be seen in my neck of the woods. The thermostat that comes with it is problematic in that owners tend to mess with it too much. Have it piped primary/secondary and save yourself some frustration.

    H stamp

    Darrell,
Does that boiler have an H stamp now or is it just a water heater. Just wondering I looked at that boiler a few years ago and it didn't have one then.
