Two-pipe system = cap stubs through floor after droping pressure. One pipe loop = needs pipe to replace rad to keep loop intact.

Removing a Radiator
I am remodeling a bathroom and want to replace a hot water radiator with a kick-space heater. Can I just cap off each end of the supply line? Or do I have to replace the radiator with a pipe to keep the "circuit" intact?0 -
To state the obvious, it depends on how it is piped...inline with other radiators, or in its own branch. We can't see this from here.
Are you sure you are qualified to do this?0 -
Watch out! Depending on the system, how it's piped and how it's controlled the water temp available may not be high enough and the significantly greater flow restriction of a kickspace may greatly limit flow (thus heat) even if the water temperature is adequate.0
