Hi I have an old house(1914) i want to clean the pipe steam system. Can you use vinegar to clean a steam system ? or does it have to be mex ? I imagine first cleaning the (Wet?)return. Can anyone explain the cleaning procedure ? thanks Joe0 -

NO! NOT VINEGAR!!!!!!
Condensate naturally tends to become acid--the LAST thing you want to do is make it even more acid!!!!
