Hydro air fan running continuously

your 1/2-3/4 hp split phase blower motors draw about 400 watts. VS motors get that down to around 60 watts.
I am a living breathing testament to the cost savings of VS A/H's..I have 2 running in my own house 24/7, and my highest bill this summer was around 170 bux. This is with a 2 ton and a 3 ton, both 15 SEER, stat set for 73-ish, with daytime at 75.
Gotta love it.

hydro air
how much energy does the fan use on a hydro air system. The sytem is sized for a house of approximately 2400 square feet. also is there any benefit to running the fan continuously without cooling or heating...there is an electronic filtering system connected to the air handler.0 -
Yep!
VS rocks!!!! If you HAVE to do forced air, by all means use a variable speed blower.
When I talk to my clients about the benefits, and we start discussing constant fan operation, you can see the look on their faces, like they're wondering how much THAT costs!
Before they can ask, I tell them that it's about the equivalent of a 60-watt light bulb being on. That always seems to put them at ease.....
