Both for piece of mind which, should be done every year and to make sure everything is as designed. Why skimp on safety??? Don't step over the dollar to pick up the dime...

how do I refill a Ferroli boiler system please?

    Hello
I have come home to a flashing F37 error (low system pressure) on the Ferroli combi boiler probably because some digging work was done outside in preparation for a new toilet and the water may have been switched off while I was away. The water is back on now.
Is filling the system a simple task or do I need to get a plumber out?
    many thanks

    refilling system

Most boiler systems have valves designed to automatically maintain pressure in the system. Either the check valve failed to keep the pressure in or the refill (pressure reducing valve, or both ) malfunctioned. Best to call in a pro if you have no idea how to do it. You could overpressurize the system and blow off the safety, or worse. The only "simple" thing you should do is to trace out the cold water feed to the boiler system and make sure the valve on the water supply is turned on. But even this could lead to problems if something else is wrong. Call your heating company, or your plumber. they can show you how.
